Trimester III. Class 1. Monday 06/04

Hello

Today we started our Trimester III, our last term this year, although some students were still on vacations.

So, we started a new topic "Tell me about your town" and learnt some new vocabulary to describe the city/town/village:
crowded, quiet, noisy, modern, tourist, historic, industrial, cheap, expensive, cosy etc.

We also revised some vocabulary from the last year - places in the city/town: playground, bank, post office, circus, police station, airport etc. 

We played Olympic Games and got first points:

There´s a big shopping centre in my town.
There are a lot of parks in my town.

Your homework: choose a city/town/village that you´ve visited and describe it using the expressons and adjectives, bring photos to show it.

Example: I like Kyiv, this is the capital of Ukraine. It´s a big modern city. It´s very beautiful, but also noisy and crowded. It´s tourist and historic, because there are a lot of monuments, churches and cathedrals there. It´s green, because there´s a river and there are many parks there.

We also discussed our plans for our project: 

Finally we raised some money and decided to buy seeds (semillas) and a fertiliser (abono) to later plant them in the place near our academy.

So, Pablo, Marco and Silvia are going to buy seeds and plant them first at home. María is going to buy flowers later.

We made a list of things we´ll need for that (seeds, plants, a spade, a fertiliser, a plastic bottle to water the flowers etc).

Now, your task is - during this week to buy seeds and plant them at home; follow their frowing making photos, observing, writing in the diary etc.

Extra task: watch a small video about London and do the exercises in your notebooks (2 points each), make up 5 questions to the video (each correct question - 1 point):
