Class 5. Monday 20/10

Hello, boys and girls. How´re you?

Today we´ve listened to your projects about your favourite sports and hobbies. The only student who did it right was Pablo. Those who wrote it in the notebook, for the next class, please, write it on a separate piece of paper, draw a picture or get your photo on it.
Also there´re two students who didn´t prepare the project, you have one more chance next class.
The same with extra task in the blog, you still have a chance to write about an unusual sport or hobby and get extra points.

So, in our Olympic Games for the projects you get the following points:
Player 2 - 12 points
Player 3 - 10 points
Player 4 - 10 points
The rest, you have the chance to get points next class.

We watched a short video about popular sports in Britain.
What sports are popular in Britain? What unusual sports do British play?
Here´s a link for this video: Sports in Britain. Watch it again and compare with Spain.

We finished with our topic and started a new one:
"What do you study?"
Where can you study? - At primary school, at secondary school, at the library, at the University etc.

We learnt different subjects you can study at school:
Maths, Science, Foreign Language, English, History, Physics, Chemistry, Art, Music, P.E. etc.

What´s you favourite subject at school? Why do you like it?

We have a lot of plans for this trimestre and you have to start thinking about preparing some things:

1. Next class 27th we have a Halloween class. But it´s an unusual class - Flipped Class. It means that you will teach younger children different activities in English. We dedicate this class to our favourite holiday - Halloween! Your task is to prepare an activity you´ll teach other children in English, related to Halloween topic.

2. Also next week or after the next one we´re going to have a Skype Session with other children from Greece. Your task is to prepare the introduction of yourselves and also questions you´ll ask. Here´re some questions that will help you to talk about yourselves:
What´s your name? How old are you? Where do you live? What´s your favourite colour, animal, subject, sport etc? How large is your famiy? Have you got brothers or sisters? Have you got pets? etc.
I´ll inform here in the blog when this Skype Session is exactly. I don´t know yet myself.

3. At the end of the trimestre we´re planning to organise a kind of "cuenta cuentos" in English, called "Toy Story". The main hero will be our DRAGON. Choose one toy or doll that will take part in our stoy and think about a story: What´s it about? What are the adventures? It´s a long-term task, but let´s start planning already.

You´ve got a lot of things to prepare! Good luck!
